This service allows you to request an increase in your widow/widower's pension through the Electronic Register.
Who it is for
People who want to request an increase in their widow/widower's pension, either for themselves or on behalf of someone else in the Special Scheme for Seafarers.
What you can do
- Submit an application through the Electronic Register.
- Download and attach the completed application form.
- Attach any necessary documentation.
What you need to do it
- Fill in and attach the application form.
- Attach copies of all documents detailed in the instructions.
- Have software that allows you to fill in and save the application form to be attached.
Important Information
- If you log in with a Username + Password (permanent Cl@ve), you'll receive an SMS code to your registered mobile number for security. You'll need to enter this code to sign the communication in the Electronic Register.
- The Social Marine Institute may request the original documents.
- If acting on behalf of someone else, you need a power of attorney registered in the Electronic Power of Attorney Registry. If you don't have a valid power of attorney, provide proof of representation using the standard form (available in the "attached documentation" section) or any other legally valid document.
- The total size of attached documents must not exceed 10 MB.
Next steps
- After completing the process, you'll receive a "proof of receipt" in PDF format.
- If you don't receive confirmation or get an error, resubmit the application later or use other channels.
- You'll receive a resolution of the application and notification.
- You may receive an SMS informing you of the resolution.
- You can check the status of your application at the Provincial or Local Directorate of the Social Marine Institute.
